Hi, I'm percybysshes here and on tumblr and I'm dissembler on the old AO3. I'm thrilled that we've matched and am so excited to see what you end up writing for me! I have requested some new fandoms for me for this exchange, along with some old faithfuls and below are some general likes and specific ideas for each fandom. The length of the sections below, and the order of them, are in no way indicators of priorities or favourites; I will be over the moon to receive something in any of these fandoms! Please also don't feel you have to follow a prompt and please don't think that I'll be disappointed if you go with something completely different to what I've said: have fun and go where the spirit moves you!
 

 

To start with here's the general things I love and hate in fanfiction:

historical details and flavour, exploration of unhealthy or un-ideal power dynamics, gothic tropes and otherwise spooky spookiness, guilt (religious or otherwise), religious themes, loyalty (at the expense of life, ideals, and/or good decisions), dark humour, gallows humour, playing with medium (i.e. epistolary fics, in-universe documents etc, hurt/comfort, doomed lovers, unrequited love with the lover being Noble and Suffering, competence and the admiring of it, unpleasant people being unpleasant, wounded (physically, previously or currently, or psychologically) people being wounded, complicated people being complicated, ghosts, manipulation, rivalmances, dubcon/noncon

 

Kinks and smutlikes

characters with hand kinks, size kinks, clothes kinks, height/size differences, age differences; characters having/doing hatesex, partially-clothed or mostly-clothed sex, oral sex, handjobs, frottage, intercrural, rough sex, body worship, semi-public risky sex, breathplay, historical sexual practices, one-night stands and one-night stands that turn into something more, sex for comfort and solace; characters who like violence (face-slapping, mutual roughing up or getting roughed up, etc.); and friends/enemies/strangers with benefits, historical sexual practices and meeting places, fancy clothes and dressing/undressing. FANDOM SPECIFICS:

The Lion in Winter (1968)

Geoffrey Plantagenet/Philip II of France, Geoffrey Plantagenet/Philip II of France/Richard I of England, Geoffrey Plantagenet/Richard I of England

This canon absolutely destroys me every time with the snapshot it gives of these lives, like insects in amber. I would love something that hews close to the heightened, poetic language of the film and play.

 

Geoffrey is the great love of mine for the canon: Geoffrey torn between these two powerful men (more powerful than him, if he'd ever let himself admit it); Geoffrey playing both sides against each other; Geoffrey with leverage to bear but always that little worry of is it enough, is this going to be the moment his wits and words fail him; Geoffrey offering up his body to whomever is in favour at the time; Geoffrey kept between the two of them and indulged like a cat who'll swipe occasionally but can't do any real harm; Geoffrey not quite strong enough to weather Richard's brute strength, Richard's immediate feelings about that and the shiftiness that comes of utter inabilities to treat each other with sincerity; just Geoffrey, with either of them or both, doing literally anything.

 

Specific smutlikes here are: for Geoff/Richard: manhandling, size kink, strength kink, brattiness on Geoff's part, overstimulation, sex crying, penetrative hatesex; for Geoff/Philip: intercrural sex, genuine fondness veiled by mutual manipulation, hair-pulling, hand-feeding sweets and delicacies, luxurious good times, dirty talk, hints of jealousy; for Philip/Geoff/Richard: overstimulation, manhandling, dominance and submission (dominance on Philip and Richard's parts, submission on Geoffrey's), petting, mild feminisation, dirty talk.

Edmund/Edgar

I keep requesting these two as a ship in exchanges and if you are the chosen one I guarantee you I will be utterly thrilled with whatever you write about them!

 

My main yearning for these two is the Edgar, crowned king, locks his horrible half-brother in a tower and hits him up for kingship advice, replete with fraught discussions, heightening tension, and the sense that Edmund cannot be trusted in the slightest.

 

Does Edgar finally snap under all the doublespeak and take Edmund to task, overpowering him easily and conquering him fully (if you know what I mean)?

 

Does Edmund instigate some creepy quid pro quo?

 

Or if pre-canon is your bag: have they done the old experimented as children trope? Has Edmund seduced Edgar before, knowing full well that at the drop of a hat he'd be able to betray him, without compunction or regret?

 

Specific smutlikes here are: duuuuuubious consent, both ways since Edmund as a prisoner cannot properly be said to consent but also has he just manipulated, blood and violence, hatesex, intercrural, sex crying, hair-pulling, mahandling.

 

Pilgrimage (2017)

Diarmuid/The Mute

 

I only recently watched this film, at the urging of a friend, and absolutely loved it. Subsequently I have a great deal of ideas:

 

I would love a canon-divergence where the Mute is at the monastery before Diarmuid arrives there and Diarmuid is of an age when first encountering the Mute that his mind and body respond in ways he has no ways of dealing with. Cue Diarmuid getting very pink and blushy around the Mute and being unable to control his thoughts given the whole Monk thing on top of the whole same-sex sexuality being a sin etc.

 

I would also love a post-canon weird fic where Diarmuid, a pure being capable of wielding holy weapons, gets another holy weapon in the form of a revenant Mute. Do they go back to the monastery, do they roam the wilds righting wrongs and bringing the power of God to bear to protect the land?

 

Alternatively any kind of tender forest sex as an extension of their need for touch and safety and their complete trust in each other would be amazing.

 

Specific smutlikes for this: size kink, intercrural, gentle sex, quiet sex, Diarmuid making sounds for both of them sex, clothing descriptions, strength kink.

 

The Red Shoes (1948)

Boris Lermontov/Julian Craster

I love the quote about the casting of Boris, a devil, and it needing a homosexual energy and on that vein I would love a divergence where Boris seduces Craster to distract him away from going after Vicky. Boris wining and dining Craster, treating him to all the excesses of the rich in Monte Carlo, laying him down on silk sheets and turning his head, he hopes, completely.

 

I would also be absolutely into whatever you can come up with for these two, though, I don't think there's a single fic.

Smutlikes: Julian's first time with a man, surprisingly rough sex, drunk sex and the inherent consent issues of that, oral sex, handjobs, frottage.
